Our police has the same behaviour, and have also flashballs and tasers which they use during protests (5 people have lost eyes with flashballs this last 2 years in France, and many people wounded in the face).
About the immigrants: Every day in France, french police arrests immigrant families without papers. Some of them work in France since 10 or more years, pay taxes, have regular work, have been married by the mayors in the “hotel de ville”, their children born in France, only know France and only speak French, they go to French schools.
These children are most of the time the best students of their class. Most of them are perfectly ‘integrés’, some are not.
The official goal of Sarkosy for 2009 is 28 000 people without paper expulsed. This number has been built during the campaign for Sarko election, after polls on extreme-right electors to know if they would vote for Sarko if he expulses immigrants, and how many.
Police come to arrest families in the morning, sometimes 6 o’clock in the morning, they first put them in a jail for migrants during hours/days (the young children generally don’t understand what’s happening of course, some of them have to explain to their parents when parents don’t speak French…) then they put them on a plane to the country they have left years ago in another life.
Last known case few kilometers from my house, few days ago, with 5 years old girl detained in retention center 16 days before flight to Philipines this week.
Look at these dangerous terrorists menacing France!

We are all immigrants and children of immigrants.
